About Nate

It started in his dad's old Ford

Nate Miller grew up in Houston with the windows down and a stack of country cassettes in his dad's pickup. Those tapes were his first love, and they never really left.

In college the music widened out. Country gave way to Americana: the place where folk, rock and pop meet a song that tells the truth. Today he writes and plays out of Austin, Texas, where he has stood on stages from the Cactus Cafe to Stubb's.

He counts Jason Isbell, David Ramirez and John Mayer among the writers who shaped him. You can hear it: a plainspoken lyric, a melody that sticks, and a voice that sounds like it means every word.
